Hermanos Pecina Rioja Crianza Tinto 2016

Description & Tasting Notes

Why this wine?

Cherry-red color and slightly orange rim. Intense aromas of ripe fruit, with hints of vanilla and toasted wood, with jam coming through underneath. The palate is tasty, smooth, pleasant, spicy, and very well-balanced.

Coming from different vineyards with an average of approximately 40 years old on clay-calcareous soils, aged 24 months in previously seasoned American oak barrels.

During this period, 4 rackings have been carried out (one every 6 months) using the traditional “Barrel to Barrel” method, thus achieving a natural decantation of grounds by gravity and avoiding the use of filters and clarifications, thus maintaining the personality of the wine to the maximum. Subsequently, it rested for a minimum of 18 months in the bottle, acquiring the balance and structure necessary to obtain a great wine.
